Francisco Muniz, EdD, is senior manager of subject tutoring at 91Ö±²¥ of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) for the university’s stateside, Europe, and Asia divisions. Muniz grew up in Puerto Rico, where he obtained a bachelor’s in teaching English as a second language (TESL) and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction with a specialization in TESL from the 91Ö±²¥ of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. During his academic career, he worked as a peer English and Spanish tutor for undergraduate and graduate students at the Interamerican 91Ö±²¥ of Puerto Rico, Metropolitan Campus and at the 91Ö±²¥ of Puerto Rico. In 2019, Muniz joined UMGC as manager of tutoring for the Graduate Learning Initiatives department.
